Our internal regulations

ARTICLE 1: Rules for Community Living

The goal of the stays is to primarily develop community living and autonomy among participants, who must be willing to take part in the stays. The child commits to participating in all planned activities and to respect the equipment provided to them. The child agrees to fully engage in the stay they are registered for.

Given the age of the participants (11-17 years), autonomy is encouraged, closely monitored by the supervision team, who are dedicated to the well-being and physical and emotional safety of each individual. This autonomy is expressed in:

  • Participation in the material aspects of the stay.
  • Setting schedules (wake-up, bedtime, meal times, etc.).
  • Participation in activities.
  • Preparation and planning of activities.
  • Tidying up and respecting equipment.
  • Opportunities for free time, referred to as « free quarters, » which are organized by the supervision team, taking into account various factors (duration, age, location, supervision, safety, and the maturity of the adolescents).

a) Damage:

Any act causing damage to the property of a participant, the Association, or the hosting facility (rental property, store, etc.) will result in the responsible party being required to cover the repair costs, and exclusion from the stay may be decided based on the severity of the incident. If the responsible party is not identified, the cost of damages will be shared by all participants in the group. Depending on the extent of the damage, civil liability insurance may be contacted to cover the incurred losses.

A check of the rooms, vehicles, and fishing equipment (boat, motor, gear, etc.) is conducted on the last day of the workshop (Sunday afternoon) by the fishing guide instructors. If damages are found and the responsible child is not identified, the cost will be shared among the legal guardians of all children in the group.

b) Violence:

Violence is an act where a person or group forces, through physical or verbal force or intimidation, another person or group to act in their own interest, disregarding the interests of others. Any act of violence, whether physical or verbal, will be sanctioned. The sanction may include exclusion from the stay.

c) Theft:

Any fraudulent appropriation of another person’s property (whether present at the stay or not) is prohibited. Anyone violating this rule may be excluded from the stay. Depending on the severity of the theft and the item stolen, a police report may be filed. The association cannot be held responsible for thefts occurring between participants. Children are therefore asked to manage their personal belongings (money, clothes, phones, tablets, fishing gear, etc.) responsibly.

ARTICLE 2 : Tobacco, Alcohol, and Drugs

a) Tobacco:

Given the sporting nature of the stays and the Association’s desire to discourage smoking and comply with current regulations, smoking is prohibited, both individually and in groups, for both supervisors and participants. However, to accommodate specific cases, the fishing guide instructor in charge of the group may establish arrangements to include « smokers. » In such cases, prior consent from the legal guardian is mandatory.

b) Alcohol:

Our internal regulations strictly prohibit consumption by all participants, both inside and outside the accommodation..

c) Drugs:

The possession and use of drugs are prohibited by law. Anyone violating this rule will be considered in breach of the internal regulations and will face immediate exclusion from the stay.

Daily, with the help of their supervisor, they take turns setting the table, clearing it, wiping it down, and sweeping the floor after everyone has left. They also put away clean dishes and load the dishwasher with used dishes.
  • If no agreement is reached with the children, a schedule may be implemented to ensure everyone participates in group life. No afternoon fishing outing will occur until the dining area and dishes are clean and tidy.
  • Daily menus for the week are displayed. The same meal is provided for all participants.
